ACA Participates in 15th VINACAS Golden Cashew Rendezvous in Vietnam

The African Cashew Alliance (ACA) participated in the 15th VINACAS Golden Cashew Rendezvous, held in Vietnam from 26 to 28 October 2026, bringing together stakeholders from across the global cashew industry to exchange insights and explore opportunities for strengthening the sector.

Held under the theme “From Raw Materials to Added Value – Connecting Value Chains and Shaping the Future of Global Cashew Supply Chains,” the event provided a platform for discussions on market trends, supply chains, sustainability, quality standards and investment opportunities.

ACA Board President, Dr. Ibrahim Sanfo, participated in a high-level panel discussion on the Conference theme, exploring how to strengthen connections across the global cashew value chain and unlock greater opportunities for value addition, investment and sustainable growth

During the discussion, Dr. Sanfo highlighted the need for increased and sustainable investment in local cashew processing in Africa, alongside greater investment in the processing of cashew apples and other by-products. He also emphasized the importance of promoting cashew consumption within Africa and developing emerging markets to support a more sustainable and competitive global cashew industry.

He noted that achieving these objectives requires strong and sustainable partnerships, the empowerment of cooperative and industry associations, and greater collaboration among stakeholders to harmonize policies and create an enabling environment for the development of the cashew value chain.

Dr. Sanfo reaffirmed ACA’s commitment to working with stakeholders across the global cashew industry to advance these priorities and promote a more competitive, inclusive and sustainable cashew sector.
