The President of the Board of Director of the African Cashew Alliance (ACA), Mr. Ibrahim SANFO on Tuesday 26th November 2024 paid a working visit to the Interprofessionnelle Agricole de la Filiere Anacarde (OIA – ANACARDE), the cashew interprofession in Cote d’Ivoire.
The objective of the visit was to understand the difficulties of the OIA – ANACARDE in implementing its activities and how the ACA can support it.
Discussions centered around the cashew sector in Cote d’Ivoire including production, local processing, policy issues and the role of ACA in the sector.
The meeting was attended by key executive officers of OIA – ANACARDE including the Secretary General Mr. Coulibaly Inza, who is also a Board Member of ACA, and the Executive Director.
For Mr. Sanfo, this courtesy visit is only an initial step in what will be a great working partnership between the ACA and OIA – ANACARDE in the coming years that will ultimately lead to the sustainable growth of both organizations and the cashew industry in Cote d’Ivoire.
He assured that the ACA, under his leadership will continue to prioritize the interest of cashew value chain actors and the growth of the sector in Africa.
The OIA – ANACARDE expressed appreciation to the President for the courtesy visit and congratulated him on his election as ACA President, assuring him of their support.
They were confident that through his leadership the ACA would reach new heights and continue to support the growth of the sector.
